TCG’s vision statement and strategic realignment point us towards harnessing the power of partnerships, and so I am particularly pleased to share that I have joined the board of The Actors Fund. Over the Fund’s long history—it was founded in 1882—their programming has come to the aid of theatre people in need of emergency financial aid, health care services, affordable housing and much more. I look forward to strengthening our mutual efforts towards serving theatre people, and encourage you to learn more about the Fund’s activities.
I also want to point you towards an opportunity from another frequent partner of TCG, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. New guidelines are available for the restructured Doris Duke Building Demand for the Arts grants. The deadline for completing the Intent to Apply form is May 31.
A more imminent deadline has arrived for the Pre-Conference Leading the Charge: Diversity & Inclusion Institute. Please submit a letter of intent to Dafina McMillan by today, April 1 to take part in this extraordinary opportunity to work with consultant Carmen Morgan on developing a diversity and inclusion action plan. Read more about what will make this Institute special here.
