“Fabulousness can come in many forms, and Taylor Mac seems intent on assuming each and every one of them.”- New York Times
We are thrilled to announce that Taylor Mac will be joining the 2014 TCG National Conference: Crossing Borders in San Diego, June 19-21! Many of you know Taylor’s work from the epic The Lily’s Revenge, and we’ll be featuring this border-crossing theatre artist in a plenary conversation similar to the popular Ayad Akhtar and Gabriel Greene conversation from last year. Registration is now live, and the scholarship and early bird deadlines are fast approaching. Make sure you strategize with the rest of your staff about attending, because we also offer discounts for multiple attendees from the same theatre.
Our research phase is moving forward for the Audience (R)Evolution program, with our partner AMS Planning & Research in the final stages of conducting case studies. We’ve already begun the first steps of the dissemination phase by presenting preliminary findings at various convenings, and our “AudRev” grantees are sharing their progress on the TCG Circle. Check out these initial posts on Portland Center Stage’s gamification, Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s Project Compass and The Pasadena Playhouse’s Consensus Organizing for Theatre for an exciting taste of the work being done.
Finally, I wanted to remind you that today, Monday, March 3 at 12pm EST is the Cycle B application deadline for our Global Connections grant program. Read our nearly 40-post strong Global Connections salon for inspiration, and then submit your own border-crossing proposal!
